Kaos
Partendo dal presupposto che il gres porcellanato è un materiale artificiale, molto spesso utilizzato come sostituto di altri, con l’originario progetto Groove se ne voleva fare emergere la vera natura condividendo e mettendo in evidenza le tecnologie più tradizionali utilizzate per la produzione delle piastrelle ed integrandole con quelle più recenti per la stampa digitale. Il progetto ha origine dalla reinterpretazione grafica della struttura molecolare del gres porcellanato, dalla quale deriva la texture tridimensionale che lo caratterizza. Il concept si è poi sviluppato dando vita alla collezione Kaos che si declina in due estetiche differenti, presentate in più versioni - l’ingrandimento sia della superficie che del retro di una piastrella - mettendo in evidenza la struttura del gres.
La collezione Kaos, per pavimenti e rivestimenti, è arricchita inoltre dai decori che ripropongono, in più varianti sia cromatici (giallo, rosso, blu, bianco-nero) che in struttura (wave), la texture della superficie della piastrella.
Although porcelain stoneware is an artificial material frequently used as a substitute for others, the idea behind Groove was to highlight the medium’s own nature by referencing and employing the more traditional techniques used in making porcelain stoneware tiles while pairing these with the more modern one of digital printing. The project’s origins lie in the graphic reinterpretation of the molecular structure of porcelain stoneware, which was used to generate a textured relief. This became the point of departure for the Kaos collection, which is divided into two different looks that are developed in multiple versions by changing the size of the surface and of the back of the tile, and that shine a spotlight on the structure of porcelain stoneware.
The collection is further enriched by a decor set that reproduces the surface texture of the tiles in a range of different versions including chromatic decors (yellow, red, blue, black-white) and textures (wave).
