ESSENCE BY BOSA WITH VENINI AT LABORATORIO 2729
Verrà inaugurata a Venezia il prossimo 3 dicembre l’esposizione della collezione Essence di Luca Nichetto, realizzata da Bosa, in collaborazione con Venini.
Con Essence Luca Nichetto intende condividere quel bagaglio di conoscenze dei processi produttivi che gli appartiene fin dall’infanzia. La collezione reinterpreta infatti gli strumenti più rappresentativi legati alla lavorazione artigianale del vetro e della ceramica. Essence è la descrizione di se stessa: ogni suo componente rappresenta uno degli strumenti, anch’essi soggetti ad un processo di progettazione, che abitualmente non appaiono e che il designer vuole far emergere e nobilitare, modificandone la destinazione d’uso. Nascono così vasi, ciotole, candelieri e piccoli complementi d’arredo, dove l’approccio alla materia – vetro, ceramica, legno e metallo – evoca le peculiarità di una metodologia di progetto fondata su un dialogo condiviso con tutti gli attori del processo produttivo.
L'esposizione proseguirà oltre i confini nazionali e verrà ospitata, a partire da dicembre, a Parigi presso 107 Rivoli, l'Espace Boutique e alla Vessel Gallery a Londra.
An exhibition of Essence, the collection designed by Luca Nichetto and produced by Bosa in collaboration with Venini, will be inaugurated on the evening of December 3.
With Essence, Luca Nichetto has attempted to share the knowledge of processes of artisanal production that have been his birthright since childhood. In fact, the collection is about reinterpreting some of the most representative instruments employed in the shaping of glass and ceramic objects. Essence is its own description: every one of the objects comprising the line represents one of the tools that usually remain unseen, tools which the designer wants to bring into the light and acknowledge, though changing their destined uses in the process. Following this guiding principle, he produced vases, bowls, candle holders, and small objects of interior design whose approach to the materials – glass, ceramic, wood and metal – emphasizes the designer’s Venetian roots, evoking the particularities of a design methodology based upon a dialogue between all of the various players involved in the production process.
The show will then travel beyond Italy's borders, first to Paris, where it will be hosted by 107 Rivoli, l'Espace Boutique and then to the Vessel Gallery in London.
