Affetto for Globo by Luca Nichetto @ Cersaie 2011
Si apre il 20 settembre l’edizione 2011 di Cersaie, il salone internazionale della ceramica, dove Luca Nichetto presenta il frutto della recentissima collaborazione con l’azienda italiana Globo.
Un’intera collezione di più di 50 elementi tra sanitari, lavabi, accessori e arredamento per il bagno affidati per la prima volta ad un unico designer.
Reinterpretando i principi del modernismo degli anni ’50 alla Giò Ponti, Affetto Collection è caratterizzata da estreme essenzialità e sobrietà di forme, eliminando qualsiasi sovrastruttura fine a se stessa.
Inoltre il progetto va incontro alle esigenze della situazione abitativa contemporanea, all’abitudine della gente a cambiare residenza più volte nella vita con la necessità di avere dei mobili adattabili ad ambienti di diverse forme e dimensioni.
“Affetto risponde a bisogni fondamentali: creare dei servizi igienici dalle forme essenziali, che non lascino scampo alla decorazione fine a se stessa, e ad un insieme di mobili che si adattino a diversi spazi e volumi. L'ispirazione mi è venuta dal movimento modernista degli anni '50: nulla è superfluo e tutto trova una collocazione ragionevole.” Luca Nichetto
On September the 20th, opens the 2011 edition of “Cersaie”, the exhibition of Ceramics, where Luca Nichetto presents the result of his recent collaboration with the Italian company Globo.
A whole collection of more than 50 elements among sanitary, washbasins, accessories and furniture for the bathroom for the first time assigned by Globo to a single designer.
Reinterpreting the principles of modernism of the 50s by Gio Ponti, Affetto Collection is characterized by extreme simplicity and elegance of forms, by eliminating any superstructure.
Furthermore, the project meets the needs of the contemporary housing situation, the habit of people to change their residence several times in life with the need to have a furniture adaptable to environments of different shapes and sizes.
“Affetto responds to basic needs: to create a line of bathroom furnishings, which leave no escape from the decoration's sake, and a set of furniture that fit indifferent spaces and volumes. The inspiration came to me from the modernist movement of the 50s: nothing is superfluous and everything has a reasonable position.” Luca Nichetto
