Troag
Tröag è una parola svedese che indica una ciotola in legno a forma di canoa utilizzata per schiacciare la frutta o per la lievitazione del pane. Luca Nichetto, durante un viaggio in Lapponia, viene a conoscenza di questo significativo oggetto che si tramanda di generazione in generazione e ne fa ispirazione per una lampada a sospensione dalla forma allungata destinata ad illuminare superfici da lavoro, tavoli molto estesi così come ampi spazi. Troag è composta da un unico pezzo in legno curvato che ne costituisce il diffusore, volto a generare una luce intensa ma uniforme e non accecante, sia verso il basso che verso l’alto grazie alle fessure superiori. Troag si presenta in tre versioni che variano tra loro in lunghezza.
Tröag is the Swedish word for a canoe-shaped wooden bowl used for crushing fruit or for letting bread rise. During a trip to Lapland, Luca Nichetto was introduced to this object, which is passed on from generation to generation and it has provided the source of inspiration for a longitudinal suspension lamp designed to illuminate work areas like long tables or large open spaces. Troag is composed of a single piece of curved wood rather than a traditional lampshade. Intense yet not blinding, the uniformly diffused light the lamp produces is directed both downwards and upwards thanks to slits running along the top of the wooden shade. Troag is available in three different versions of varying lengths.
