MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2010_ PLINTO DESIGNED BY LUCA NICHETTO FOR SKITSCH
Plinto, lo sgabello progettato da Luca Nichetto per Skitsch, verrà presentato durante Milano Design Week (14-19 aprile 2010). Plinto è un oggetto ibrido, che funge sia da sgabello che da tavolino. La sua forma si ispira ai blocchi in calcestruzzo a forma di parallelepipedo che solitamente vengono usati nei cantieri durante i lavori edilizi, oltre a richiamare, anche esplicitamente nel nome, il basamento delle colonne dei templi greco-romani. Oltre ad essere impilabile, Plinto è dotato di una maniglia basculante che gli consente di essere facilmente trasportato da un luogo all’altro e destinato così ad un uso sia interno che esterno.
Plinto, a new stool designed by Luca Nichetto for Skitsch will be presented in occasion of 2010 Milan Design Week Plinto (April 14-19th 2010). Plinto is a hybrid object that functions either as a stool or as a small table. Its form was inspired by the parallelepiped-shaped blocks of concrete frequently used on construction sites but also recalls, as its name explicitly indicates, the plinth that serves as a column’s base in Greco-Roman architecture. Aside from being stackable and usable both indoors and out, Plinto also has a built-in handle that allows it to be easily moved from one place to another.
