Storie di Design, Palermo Design Week _ 2009
Palermo Design Week è un’iniziativa, concepita da un’idea di Giuseppe Finocchio e curata da Porzia Bergamasco, volta a “promuovere la cultura del design”, a cui ha preso parte Luca Nichetto con alcuni suoi prodotti disegnati per Italesse (Big Barman, Ipo-Epi, Stripe e Titan).
L’evento nasce con l’obiettivo di presentare non solo l’oggetto, ma anche la storia legata alla sua creazione, ovvero, tutto quello che riguarda il progetto e la sua crescita. Dall’idea maturata nella mente del designer alla sua realizzazione, dal motivo della sua creazione al rapporto con l’azienda che l’ha prodotto. Il modo con cui il designer si interfaccia con il proprio lavoro e con l’azienda che ha messo in produzione il progetto.
Palermo Design Week is an initiative conceived by Giuseppe Finocchio and curated by Porzia Bergamasco whose intent is to “promote design culture”. Luca Nichetto participates in the event with a number of the products he has designed for Italesse: Big Barman, Ipo-Epi, Stripe and Titan.
The event is organized with the goal of presenting not only design objects, but also the stories of their realization, which is to say, all aspects of the project’s development and production—from the idea that took shape in the designer’s mind through to its realization, and from the purpose behind an object’s production to the relationship that exists between the object and the company that put it into production.
